about me
Hello, I’m Marion and I live in Leigh on Sea.
I have always being a creator and maker.
My love of ceramics brought me to the amazing material called ‘Silver Clay’ many years ago.
I love making and selling my own jewellery using silver clay and some traditional silversmithing techniques.
Having given up a part time job working with children and families, I can now devote more of my time to fulfil my dream of sharing my jewellery making skills with others.

Workshops
I run regular workshops that are suitable for complete beginners
Workshops are held in the lovely town of Leigh on Sea
Workshops are small to offer individual attention
For groups of 2 or more additional dates can be added by prior arrangement
INTRODUCTION TO SILVER CLAY WORKSHOP £60
This is 3 hour workshop will teach you how to texture shape and cut silver clay making at least 3 pieces of fine silver jewellery

Silver Clay was invented in Japan in the 1990s by metallurgist Masaki Morikawa.
What is silver clay?
Silver clay is fine particles of pure silver mixed with a non toxic organic binder and water.
The clay can be moulded, shaped and textured. Once dry it can be fired with a jewellers torch (a creme brule torch will do!) or in a kiln. The binder burns out during firing leaving a pure silver piece of jewellery which can be hallmarked as 999 silver.
Unlike traditional Silversmithing which involves many years of training and involves expensive equipment working with silver clay needs only a small amount of inexpensive tools, no previous experience and can be set up from your kitchen table!
